Lil’ Sis and I were discussing “Five Year Plans” yesterday, and as
she’s the organised and disciplined one in the family, she’s had a FYP since
she was 25 (she’s now approaching 32). She’s also a mother of two, and doing a
degree in midwifery full time, so I guess she has to be.
I had to confess that I was always a fortnight planner. That is, decide what’s
in store in the next two weeks, and everything else would look after itself.
However, that was until the surprise of falling pregnant with our daughter (whose now almost 3) and waking up to the realisation I had to
think a little further into the future. But planning so far ahead isn’t such a
bad thing after all; Lil’Sis and I decided we’re going on a backpacking tour of
northern India,
before my 40th birthday.
Now, how to break the news to our other halves that
we’ll be away for a whole month…
