- Organising Miss 8.11′s celebrations for her 9th birthday (which is tomorrow) with her three best mates. The festivities consisted of Lazermaze (kids versus adults – we won! Woot!), Ten Pin Bowling, Pizza Hut and a sleepover with Singstar and DVDs, popcorn and hot chocolate. Apparently it was a “Ten out of ten” birthday.
- Walking in my lunchbreak – three times this week and I swear, swear that my waistbands are ever so slightly looser. However, this could be a complete figment of my imagination.
- Getting ever so excited when Lil’Sis texted me to say that we had confirmed tickets for the Fleetwood Mac concert in New Plymouth on the 19th of December! Now for the logistics: how we get there and where do we stay while we’re there…
- Freezing on Friday – temperatures plummeted as an Antarctic southerly swept up the country, just in time for our departmental team bonding barbecue on the office deck. Coats, scarves and beanies were essential and you VILL enjoy yourself.
- Sunbathing – it was absolutely glorious weather on Saturday and Sunday with deep blue skies and just a few tufts of cloud on the horizon. I snuck up the back paddock and caught some Vitamin D for half an hour or so, and now have a slightly pink nose for my slacking off.
- Shifting furniture – the Other Harf has completed Miss 8.11′s bedroom (now painted a pale blue, with newly painted white furniture courtesy of Poppa) and now it’s time for our lounge. This meant we had to move into the spare “middle” lounge – a room half the size. At least it’s cosy!
Tell me the best thing about your week?
