I was right! Not only did the duvets tick the boxes, we had tartan decor, black lacquer furniture and a digital alarm clock built into the bedside table. It was class, circa 1986, all the way. Thank you, Alcamo Motor Lodge.

Taupo was wonderful but our Internet connection is complete and utter shite so uploading photos to prove this (and accompany my words) is off the agenda until the weekend - that is, when I have HOURS to spend doing it.

I really ought to do something about this extremely pathetic service. By cancelling it.

lol classic decor! As for the internet service, that sux, is there any way you can get the satellite service? or do you already have that?

We've looked into satellite - too expensive and not enough download limits.

At the moment I'm under contract with Vodafone - it's one of those portable modems. It works great for days, sometimes weeks, then it just spits the dummy big time and reverts to dial up speed!

It's off to Telecom to see what they can do for me :)

Our internet choices increased after Hurricane Katrina passed through and destroyed absolutely everything. Since everything had to be rebuilt and the ISPs had some insurance assistance, cable and DSL broadband came to the masses within a few months. A lot of people were looking at "dial-up only" but only as long as someone is still providing that service. Not that I'd wish a massive hurricane on anyone ...

One of the very few positives to come out of it, huh!

This month I am mostly appreciating jonquils...
