I've been taking photography books out of the library on our fortnightly visits - the history of photography, photography in advertising, portfolios of famous photographers - and this wonderful advertisement caught my eye.
I'm guessing that the average Kodak girl would have been fairly wealthy, and I wondered what sort of photos she took and how long it was before she was able to see her photos.
So I've decided to do a bit more research on it, and while I'm at it, I'm going to keep my eye out for wonderful advertisements like this one.

I love that ad! what a find at your library!
I suspect that Kodak girl developed her own pictures/slides. When I was a kid, portrait photographers were using cameras that look just like the one Kodak girl has.
